SEA SCHOOL AND YACHT CHARTER MANAGEMENT

PROJECT BRIEF To review all existing systems and implement new innovative systems to accommodate this rapidly growing company that specialised in the charter of high performance racing and cruising yachts. I also incorporated a successful sea school on behalf of the company to facilitate a comprehensive contract for a well known law firm based in the city. The sea school carried out RYA theoretical training to candidates in their Fleet Street offices during the week with practical training carried out at weekends in Hamble. Courses ran from Competent Crew to Yachtmaster.
RESPONSIBILITIES I was initially responsible for the implementation of improved systems on the yacht management side of the business. During periods that the MD would frequently travel overseas I would step in to run the office based in Cowes and oversee the operations side of the business which was based in Hamble. I was responsible for compiling bespoke Safety Management Manuals for over 40 high performance production yachts up to 50′ that were under charter management as well as compiling all of the SCV1 and SCV2 paperwork in preparation for MCA coding to CAT 2. I designed all of the forms, checklists, declarations and processes to ensure that the yachts remained in first class condition without compromise.
