PROJECT BRIEF To become market leaders in the supply of services for sub surface regatta support at all major regattas around the UK and Ireland.
RESPONSIBILITIES Director of operations responsible for streamlining this function of the business which generated enough cash flow for the company to move into the Civil Engineering sector without any additional borrowings.  I was responsible for all business and operation processes from marketing our services prior to each event, obtaining clearance and dive permits for the duration of each event via harbour authorities/port control and event organisers, proactively booking and scheduling all dives, organising all dive teams with myself included in the dive team personnel, compiling all supporting dive management systems and risk assessment strategies, writing up all dives, compiling all visual imagery, technical reporting and invoicing.
CLIENT MMC Diving Services
CHALLENGES Organising anything up to 250 yachts over a 7 day period with a net value of £25,000 became second nature to me.  Preplanning and organising up to 25 yachts to be dived between 0500-0800 via a number of dive teams at a number of locations with a net value of anything up top £3000 per morning made my diving company a market leader in providing both quality and performance in subsea regatta support.  I faced challenging situations daily from working in extreme conditions with poor visibility and strong currents, vessels changing locations, deteriorating weather, continually updating information and emergency call out’s.  I typically implemented proactive measures to combat foreseeable situations enabling me to predict and plan wherever possible for the unlikely and unforeseeable challenges that may lie ahead.  In 12 years of operation around busy marinas during major regatta’s my teams retained an AFR of 0%
